Why'd you Change your name?

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

I decided that I wanted to do a little re-branding in order to be more straight forward with how I presented my brand. Atelier Zoollie Woollie is the new name with a new look that, I feel, will better reflect what I create and how I want to proceed moving forward.

Wait... Aren't you Lobster Ball?

Yes, I do fly under the Lobster Ball banner for some conventions. Lobster Ball started as an in-joke, and then I just used it when I had like five minutes to decide on a name to register for my first convention. Needless to say, I've had a little bit more time to consider my new name. I hope you like it as much as I do!

How did you come up with Zoollie Woollie then?

When I was brainstorming with a friend, we were originally thinking Julie Woollie because my childhood nick name was Julie Wullie. After more thinking, I decided that Zoollie Woollie was a little more accurate in terms of naming what I do. I make Zoo animals out of Wool. Zoo-llie Wooll-ie. Tack on Atelier because I'm a maker, and voila! Atelier Zoollie Woollie! ^_^

Why the hedgehog?

It literally takes hundreds of pokes to shape and create a needle felted woollie. I felt a pokey creature, like the hedgehog, was an appropriated choice. They are also pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.
